Triton Digital Releases Top 20 Ranker for June

Triton Digital has released its monthly Top 20 Ranker for June. The Ranker is a listing of the top-performing digital audio stations and networks measured by the Webcast Metrics audience measurement platform, accredited by the Media Rating Council. Total listening for clients measured in June showed 4.19 million Average Active Sessions weekdays from 6am-8pm, and 3.55 million AAS during Monday-Sunday 6am-midnight.

Key findings of the June 2015 Ranker include:

• Compared to June 2014, AAS within the Domestic U.S. grew by 40.7 percent (M-F 6A-8P) and 45.5 percent (M-Su 6A-Mid).
• During the M-F 6A-8P daypart, 39 percent of listening took place on an iOS device, followed by Android (31 percent), Flash Player (8 percent) and Google Chrome (7 percent).
• Of the top 20 markets, St. Louis showed the largest listening gain in June 2015 vs. May 2015 with a 16.8 percent increase in AAS (M-F 6A-8P), followed by Miami (6 percent), New York (4.9 percent), Minneapolis-St. Paul (3.6 percent), Detroit (2.6 percent) and Los Angeles (1.8 percent).
• The Adult Contemporary format showed the largest listening gain in June 2015 vs. May 2015 with a 10% increase in AAS (M-F 6A-8P), followed by Modern Adult Contemporary (3.7 percent), Country (2.9 percent), Classic Rock (1.7 percent) and Top 40 (1.4 percent).
