Rising Through the Ranks, Women in Radio Management & Leadership Training Program attendees

The Radio Advertising Bureau (RAB), in conjunction with BMI and the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio Group (MIW), has announced the successful completion of the eighth annual Rising Through the Ranks, Women in Radio Management & Leadership Training Program. Twenty-one scholarship recipients were welcomed at the BMI offices in Nashville, August 19-20.

Scholarship recipients were selected and awarded by the three organizations. The two-day seminar focused on the specific needs of women in radio management roles and worked to enhance their overall knowledge and skills.

The customized curriculum featured practical and real world applications that participants of the course can put to use in the workplace immediately. The topics include: managing a team, problem solving, budgeting and forecasting, women in the radio workplace, recruiting, hiring and firing, and building a personal brand.

"For the past eight years, elite female executives have completed this seminar in preparation to be on the frontlines of our business," said RAB President/CEO Erica Farber. "Through this two-day seminar, we have instilled new management skills for these female managers to go back to their stations with a renewed energy to lead and excel within their organizations."
