Wilks Sells Final Reno Station for $1.2 Million

Wilks Broadcasting has agreed to sell its last radio station in Reno, NV. Lotus Communications has agreed to purchase 12kW AAA KTHX-FM (100.1) for $1.2 million. Earlier this week, local broadcaster Jerry Evans agreed to purchase 8.9kW Country KWFP-FM (92.1) and 6kW Classic Rock KURK-FM (100.9) for $750,000 in from Wilks in Reno. With the deals, Wilks exits the Reno market and the radio business. Michael J. Bergner of Bergner & Co. was the broker in the transaction.
