RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, October 7, 2014 |
CBS Radio CHR KEGY-FM (Energy 103.7) San Diego names Sonic (aka Sean Leckie) as its new afternoon host, beginning October 15. Most recently, he aired in afternoons at WWPW-FM (Power 96.1)/Atlanta, joining the station in 2012. He started his career as an intern on A.J.'s Playhouse on KHTS-FM in San Diego and worked his way up working in promotions and then eventually producing mornings and hosting nights.
"Coming home to San Diego where I began my radio career is a dream come true," said Sonic. "I'm flattered to work for a team that is ecstatic to bring me aboard, believe in me, and embrace the fact that I am going to do my best to make San Diego's commute in the afternoon less boring."
"Sonic is a superstar and a critical component to the next chapter of Energy's history," said PD Chris Patyk. "San Diego is home to him. He's creative, energetic and has the passion we sought out to fill in afternoons, We're beyond excited to welcome Sonic back home and can't wait to unleash him upon America's finest city!"
