Entercom Ups Jim Rushton to VP/Sports Sales

Entercom elevates New England VP/Director of Sales Jim Rushton to VP/Sports Sales and Marketing for the entire company. In this newly-created position, Rushton will oversee sales strategies and marketing across all of its sports properties and play-by-play assets, including Red Sox Baseball, Celtics Basketball, Providence College Basketball, the WEEI Network, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Royals Baseball and Buffalo Sabres Hockey.

Entercom Regional President Weezie Kramer commented, "As we have increased the number of sports brands in our portfolio and expanded the WEEI footprint across multiple platforms, this role is a natural next step in Jim's development. It's also a fabulous opportunity for us to provide focus to his knowledge and strategic thinking yet scale it at the same time."

Entercon/Boston VP/Market Manager Julie Kahn stated, "Working with Jim for the last nine years, I have seen his tireless effort and creativity result in winning strategy and sales performance for our properties. His ability to consistently deliver fresh solutions for our customers is integral to our success. I look forward to working with Jim in his new role."

Rushton added, "This is a welcomed opportunity to follow my passions of leading with the combination of strategy and creativity; developing integrated media sponsorships and campaigns for advertisers; and building businesses. I look forward to working with our teams here in New England across Entercom."
