iheartradio 2.2 Adds Features to Popular iPhone App


Clear Channel Radio is set to announce that version 2.2 of the popular iheartradio mobile application for the iPhone is now available. The app which has been downloaded some 3 million times, has consistently shown growth in concurrent listenership and total listening time. The average listening time per week is now over 100 minutes per user. More than one third of iheartradio users have already updated to the new version.

Digital streaming now augments AM/FM listener levels by up to 16%, while concurrent listenership and total listening time continues to grow weekly. The average listening time per week is now over 100 minutes per user.

More than 300 of radio outlets are now available on the iPhone or iPod Touch. Exclusive stations hosted by artists like Christina Aguilera, Weezer and Eagles' Joe Walsh, plus their favorite music are also available with updated traffic reports on-demand from several major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas and Houston.
