CCR flips WCHH-FM/Baltimore to CHR as ''Z104.3''

Clear Channel flips WCHH-FM (Channel 104.3) in Baltimore to CHR as "Z104.3" under Operations Manager Thea Mitchem. Replacing the Alternative Rock "Channel," Z104.3 will run commercial free for the first 10,000 songs. The station will be modeled after CHR outlets under the Clear Channel umbrella such as Z100/New York, Hot 99.5/Washington, DC, and KIIS-FM/Los Angeles.

Z104.3 will feature today's best artists, including Rihanna, Justin Timberlake, Kanye West, Taylor Swift, Black Eyed Peas, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Jay Z and Beyonce, among others.

"Baltimore is one of the rare exceptions in top 25 markets to not have a CHR format. It is finally time for listeners to be able to hear all the hits in one place, and Z104.3 is the new home for those hits. Operations Manager Thea Mitchem has put together an amazing music intensive format that Baltimore has asked for and we know they will love." said President/Market Manager Hartley Adkins. (11-04-09)
