CC Takes Top Honors at Media Industry Competitions

For the second year, radio campaigns airing on Clear Channel Radio's broadcast platforms have taken top honors at media industry competitions sponsored by Media magazine, Adweek/Brandweek and Mediaweek. Each of the campaigns illustrated a completely new way to use the broadcast radio medium.
In 2009, the winning campaigns exploited radio's engagement and flexibility. For example, using a system developed by CCR, Horizon Media's campaign for Geico placed the car insurers' ads after ads from vehicle makers (auto, motorcycle, RV, etc.) and auto dealers, guaranteeing in-context exposure. The campaign received Media magazine's Creative Media Award of the Year in radio for "creative use of radio as a campaign's centerpiece."
"The level of innovation we're achieving collaborating with our agency colleagues is truly impressive," said CCR President/CEO John Hogan. "It's a clear demonstration of our willingness to work differently and better with advertisers as well as our commitment to find new and better ways to leverage our assets on their behalf."
