RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, July 13, 2010 |
Alpha Broadcasting's Active Rock KUFO-FM/Portland, OR, has revamped its morning show with the addition of market vet Marconi. "The Kidd Chris Show with Marconi" made its debut Tuesday with the pair announcing their new partnership. Marconi has been with KUFO since 2005, most recently holding down the nights shift since last October.
Kidd Chris (far right) has traveled throughout the country over the course of his career, with stints in Syracuse, Wichita, Sacramento, San Antonio and finally Philadelphia at WYSP-FM where he first hosted afternoons in 2005 before being promoted to mornings two years later. He's also been a frequent contributor to the Howard Stern Show.
Marconi (near right), a market vet since working for KNRK beginning in 1997. He came over to KUFO in 2005, under the previous CBS Radio ownership where he ended up hosting afternoon drive until 2008. Marconi returned to the KUFO airwaves in October and is also currently an audio imaging producer and voiceover talent.
"This is a rock radio show done the way it should be: local," commented KUFO PD Ditch. "While other stations in town pipe in national shows via satellite, we have paired up two incredibly talented guys right here in Portland. They each bring something different and unique to the show and I can't wait to see how this evolves over time. It's already great!"
