KMTT-FM (The Mountain)/Seattle Program Director Dave Benson exits after the AAA outlet after two years of service. He's leaving Entercom to explore new opportunities. Concurrently, Alternative KNDD-FM (The End) PD Mike Kaplan will immediately take over programming "The Mountain."
"Dave has been a tremendous asset to The Mountain and Entercom Seattle, and it's been a true pleasure working with him," said Entercom/Seattle VP of Programming & Operations Dave Richards.
"I feel fortunate to have had this time working with Entercom Seattle. My respect and affection for the Mountain staff is enormous, and I wish them all the best in the future," added Benson.
"Mike Kaplan has demonstrated tremendous results at The End over the last 3 years, and he'll continue to do the same as the new PD for KMTT-KNDD," said Richards.
Prior to KMTT, Benson served as PD of Cumulus' AAA KFOG-FM/San Francisco and nine years with the company. He had also overseen co-owned Classic Rock KSAN-FM (100.7 The Bone). Before joining KFOG in June, 2000, Benson served as PD of KBCO-FM/Denver.
