Talk KABC-AM/Los Angeles PD Jack Silver assumes programming duties for Classic Rock KLOS-FM replacing Bob Buchmann. Concurrently, Uncle Joe Benson returns to afternoon drive succeeding Buchmann on-air. Gary Moore's night program will now run to midnight, followed my overnight talent Mike Vogel. Silver was named OM/PD at KABC in July, 2010.
"Having programmed rock stations in markets including San Francisco, San Diego and St. Louis, this is another major move in my career. KLOS is a legendary station with Mark & Brian in the morning," said Silver. "It's my job to keep the legend moving forward and a job I will take very seriously. Plus, we have made major progress with KABC."
Silver previously served as Director of Integrated Marketing at crosstown Classic Hits KRTH-FM (K-Earth 101) and Smooth Jazz KTWV-FM (94.7 The Wave). Before that, Silver was VP/Programming for then Infinity's (now CBS Radio) eight FM Talkers.
Silver's previous programming stints include KGB/San Diego, KKBH/San Diego, WLUP-FM/Chicago and KSHE-FM/St. Louis.
