Radio Host Delilah's Son Dead of Sickle Cell Anemia
RADIO ONLINE | Monday, March 12, 2012 |
Very sad news to report in that one of radio's best loved nighttime personalities, Delilah's son, Samuel Young Dzolali Rene has passed away Sunday (3/11) from Sickle Cell Anemia. Sammy had been hospitalized for several days in ICU and on life support. He was one of eight children Delilah has adopted. She has twelve children in total.
Delilah writes on her Facebook page: My son Sammy passed from this world today into heaven, but he left behind a piece of his amazing soul in all that met him. Son, may you soar, free from the pain that sickle cell brought to your body, and filled with the love that we all felt for you...I praise God for the day He lead me to you at the orphanage, though I mourn this day that He took you from me. I will miss you forever... Love, Momma Bear
Our deepest condolences to Delilah and her family.
