Veteran Minneapolis Air Personality Gets TV Gig

WFTC-TV (My29)/Minneapolis will debut "On The Fly," a one-hour entertainment program, featuring Twin Cities radio personality Tony Fly, FOX 9 Traffic Reporter Kelsey Soby and former K-Twin producer Dan Edwards. The program will air weekdays on WFTC at 11pm and again at 8am the following morning. Produced locally by WFTC, "On The Fly" is a daily program highlighting what's hot and happening that day in pop culture, from Hollywood to the Twin Cities.

KMSP/WFTC VP/General Manager Carol Rueppel stated, "'On The Fly' showcases the humor and spontaneity of a radio talk show with the visual impact of television. The ensemble of Tony, Kelsey, and Dan will provide unique commentary on the big talkers of the day."

Most recently, Fly served as the morning host at Hot AC KTWN-FM (K-Twin)/Minneapolis for 11 years. Fly has been a Minneapolis radio icon since the early 90's, making a name for himself on KDWB. He also hosted "The Tony Fly Morning Show" on B96. Prior to his role on "On the Fly," Dan Edwards was a producer at K-TWIN radio and before that, he served as the Music Director for the Minnesota Twins.
