Tribune's Talk WGN-AM/Chicago has partnered with Radiate Media to provide traffic information to its audience across broadcast, online and mobile platforms. Radiate Media will begin the 24/7 service for WGN on September 1 as part of a multi-year partnership. Radiate Media currently provides real-time traffic and video solutions to 12 Tribune television stations including WGN-TV/Chicago and CLTV/Chicago. Radiate also serves five Local TV LLC stations, whose acquisition by Tribune has been announced.
"WGN was one of the first stations in the country to provide traffic reports and maintains a rich tradition of service," commented Radiate Media VP/GM Gary Lee. "We are proud to add WGN to our growing affiliate lineup."
"Radiate Media has demonstrated a commitment to quality through its people and technology," added WGN President/General Manager Jimmy de Castro. "This is a good fit as WGN begins an exciting new chapter."
