Ray Mariner Named PD of Cumulus/New Orleans Duo

Cumulus announces the appointment of radio programmer and personality, Ray Mariner, as Program Director of Country-formatted NASH FM 92.3 and 106.1 The Ticket -- both in New Orleans, effective April 15. Most recently, Mariner was a Sports/Talk talent on 680/The Fan in Atlanta and prior to that, was the morning and afternoon drive personality for Star 94 in Atlanta. Mariner also formerly served in a programming capacity in Charlotte and Myrtle Beach.

"Ray is a rare breed of Programmer and Talent. He has shown his programming acumen by performing and succeeding at the highest level. We're excited to have him oversee the programming of both NASH-FM 92.3 and 106.1 The Ticket in New Orleans," said Mike McVay, Cumulus SVP, Programming.

Jim Mahanay, Cumulus Sports/Talk Format Captain, added: "Ray Mariner is a strong addition to Cumulus' programming team in New Orleans. He brings a great track record and tremendous talent to this important role at NASH FM 92.3 and 106.1 The Ticket. I look forward to having him lead our Sports programming in this key market."

Mariner said: ""Both NASH FM 92.3 and The Ticket have a ton of potential for growth. I'm excited to grow the NASH brand with great shows like "America's Morning Show with Blair Garner" and we're fortunate to have a big show with "NASH Nights Live with Shawn Parr." As for 106.1 The Ticket, we have a solid talent in Gus Kattengell. The GKat was born and raised in New Orleans and he's connected to the local sports scene. I'm going to The Gumbo Shop as soon as I get there! I want to thank John Dickey, Mike McVay, Jim Mahanay, Jan Jeffries and Market Manager Susan Lucchesi for their confidence in me!"
