CBS Radio/Washington DC Unveils Street Level Space

CBS Radio/Washington, DC and the DC Lottery have announced the grand opening of "DC Lottery Live," a state-of-the-art street-level studio and performance space that will serve as an entertainment showcase in the heart of the trendy Capitol Riverfront neighborhood. Gavin DeGraw headlines the facility's first ever event with a private concert on Thursday, October 9.

Located near Yards Park and two blocks from the Nationals' baseball stadium, the "DC Lottery Live" venue is part of CBS Radio's new broadcast home for local stations WPGC-FM, WIAD-FM (94.7 Fresh FM), WJFK-FM (106.7 The Fan), El Zol 107.9, WNEW-FM (All News 99.1) and WJFK-AM (1580 CBS Sports Radio). Mayor Vincent Gray and CBS Radio previously announced the relocation of the stations to the up-and-coming neighborhood at a press conference in April.

"We are proud to unveil this unique venue that will showcase a variety of live events and appeal to the entire community whether they enjoy music, sports, entertainment or interacting with today's newsmakers," said Senior VP/Market Manager Steve Swenson. "With DC Lottery as our partner we can bring our brands closer to the audience and enhance their experience."

"This is the first partnership of its kind in the District, and I'm thrilled to offer our residents heightened entertainment and opportunities to win with the DC Lottery," said DC Lottery Executive Director Buddy Roogow. "Our players will have access to a number of elite performances with entertainers across multiple genres."

Beginning October 1, listeners and DC Lottery players can tune into daily draw recordings on WPGC 95.5 and WNEW 99.1 at 2:20pm and 8:20pm.
