Report: Dick Morris to Exit WPHT/Philadelphia
RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, October 22, 2014 |
Conservative talk host Dick Morris announced Wednesday afternoon that he's leaving WPHT-AM (Talk Radio 1210)/Philadelphia in order to campaign for 2016 Republican candidates, reports philly.com's PhillyGossip. Morris joined the CBS Radio Talk outlet in March, 2013, replacing former Inquirer and Daily News columnist Buzz Bissinger. Morris does plan to stay through the upcoming election.
Station Operations Manager Andy Bloom said he did not have any plans to replace Morris as of yet and could not comment on whether the station would go in a different direction.
Senior VP/Market Manager Marc Rayfield told PhillyGossip, "He has done a great job for WPHT and we knew his busy schedule might one day make doing a daily radio show difficult. When Morris began the show, he told me he would split his time between Philadelphia and his home in Florida."
