RADIO ONLINE | Friday, November 14, 2014 |
Ruby Radio Corp. appoints veteran programmer Tom Chase as VP/Programming, overseeing Hot AC KHIX-FM (Mix 96.7), K266AB-FM (101.1 Coyote FM), KBGZ-FM (Big Country 103.9), KZBI-FM (Newstalk 94.5) and K299AN-FM (Z-107.7)/Elko, NV, as well as Hot AC KHYX-FM (Mix 102.7) and Big Country 94.3/Winnemucca, NV. He begins his new duties in December. Chase previosuly spent most of the last 22 years as Program Manager of Clear Channel/Las Vegas.
"Tom Chase is an outstanding programmer," said Ruby Radio President/CEO Ken Sutherland. "We've worked together three times in the past, and I have a very high regard for his skills - both as a solid strategic and operational PD -- and as a strong department manager."
"I like the texture and presentation of Ruby's stations," added Chase "I grew up in a small community in Idaho, so I can relate to the size of these towns. Ruby Radio has found ways to make these stations sound like they're in much bigger markets, without sacrificing the 'home town feel' of community involvement that you need for success."
