CBS Radio Partners with Bloomberg Radio

CBS Radio today announced it has entered into a partnership with Bloomberg Radio to be its primary supplier of business reports for its owned and operated radio stations in 12-key markets including, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Philadelphia and Boston, among others. As of Jan. 2, 2015, Bloomberg Radio reporters have been providing business news updates twice an hour on select CBS Radio all-news stations, and also at designated times on other CBS Radio properties.

Additionally, CBS Radio has access to Bloomberg's 2,400 news and multimedia professionals at more than 150 bureaus in 73 countries. United Stations Radio Networks, Inc is the marketing partner for Bloomberg Radio and will handle advertising sales and sponsorships, as well as distribution.

"This partnership will greatly raise the level of our business coverage, enhancing our product in cities from coast to coast," said Scott Herman, Executive Vice President, Operations, CBS Radio and Market Manager, CBS Radio New York. "Bloomberg reporters will offer expertise and depth to local business stories of interest, reaching audiences of our individual radio stations."

Al Mayers, Head of Bloomberg Radio added, "Partnering with CBS Radio was a natural fit that brings together the leader in news radio with the global leader in business news. It's an important milestone for Bloomberg as we expand our audience of business decision makers."

USRN's President/COO, Jim Higgins noted, "With the addition of these great CBS Radio stations to our existing Bloomberg lineup, it clearly makes Bloomberg the preeminent business radio network for advertisers seeking an association with this extremely attractive and desirable audience. We are thrilled to be working with two of the most respected names in journalism."

Among the CBS Radio stations to be included as outlets for Bloomberg content are WINS-AM, WCBS-AM, KNX-AM, WBBM-AM, KCBS-AM, KYW-AM, WWJ-AM and many other legendary broadcast outlets.
