Steve Sutton Named KCMO-AM/Kansas City PD

Cumulus announces that Steve Sutton has been appointed Program Director for KCMO-AM in Kansas City, MO. An experienced broadcaster with storied accomplishments at CBS, Clear Channel/iHeart Media, ABC, and Air America, among others, Sutton has programmed stations in markets including Columbus, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, and was an on-air host for stations in markets including Atlanta, Dallas, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. He was also Co-Creator and Vice President of Programming & Operations for Air America Radio.

Most recently, Sutton was founder and managing partner of The Sinton Group, an Atlanta-based media and political consulting firm. Prior to that, he was Director of Communications for the Bob Barr for President Campaign, and ran for U.S. Congress for the 6th District of Georgia.

Mike McVay, Senior Vice President, Programming for Cumulus said: "We're very excited to have Steve join us in Kansas City. He's a multi-formatted programmer with amazing life experiences. I can't wait to hear how he sets News/Talk radio on its ear."

Sutton said: "A life of amazing experiences continues in Kansas City at KCMO. We all do this because it's fun and fulfilling.
