TuneGenie to Change the Way Radio is Monetized
RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, March 31, 2015 |
Long overdue for the radio industry, TuneGenie has received certification from Nielsen for its digital audio streaming measurement solution. The third company to do so (WideOrbit and Jacapps being the other two), TuneGenie basically offers easily understandable online ratings combined with Nielsen's traditional radio listening PPM numbers -- a major plus for potential advertisers and radio sales teams. 27 Connoisseur music stations have already started incorporating the TuneGenie measurement product.
There's no official word from Nielsen on when the product will be ready for a national roll out, but Nielsen EVP, Managing Director, Matt O'Grady was quoted from a TuneGenie press release saying, "With its Nielsen certification for digital audio measurement, TuneGenie will now be able to help its clients more effectively monetize their content. We are pleased to be working with TuneGenie as we move towards providing a holistic and comprehensive view of the audio marketplace."
