RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, May 27, 2015 |
Entercom hires Don Kollins as Program Director KGMZ-FM (Sports Radio 95.7 The GAME)/San Francisco, effective June 12. The Sports Radio veteran succeeds Jason Barrett, who resigned his position in order to relocate to the New York City area for family reasons. Kollins' 20-year programming career includes CJCL (Sportsnet 590 The Fan) in Toronto and CHYM (570 News/Talk) in Ontario where he served as Program Director.
"After an exhaustive search, the best choice was located north of us - way north -- in Canada," said Entercom/San Francisco Market VP Steve DiNardo. "We're excited to have Don join the San Francisco Programming team. He comes to us with an established record of success - specifically in Sports and Talk/News formats. His experience in managing both play by play relationships with professional sports teams as well as personalities makes him the ideal choice for this position."
"I am thrilled to join the team at Entercom San Francisco," added Kollins. "Jason has built a great station and it's an honor to pick up the Programming torch for 95.7 The Game and continue the winning tradition.."
