Panthers Hockey Returns to Sports Radio WQAM
RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, July 29, 2015 |
The Florida Panthers will air all 2015-16 Panthers regular season and playoff games on CBS Radio's WQAM-AM (Sports Radio 560), the team's flagship radio partner, with play-by-play broadcaster "Red Deer" Randy Moller calling all the action. As part of the partnership, the Panthers will air a 30-minute pregame show on WQAM (prior to all weekday games), as well as a 15-minute postgame show. WQAM will also broadcast weekly updates, and exclusive interviews with Panthers Head Coach Gerard Gallant, Panthers players and other hockey personalities.
"We are very pleased to have reached an agreement with CBS Radio Miami to continue broadcasting Panthers games on Sports Radio 560 WQAM," said Florida Panthers Executive Chairman Peter Luukko. "We are once again excited to work with the station's well-known, passionate and knowledgeable radio personalities. Sports Radio 560 WQAM has been a strong supporter of Panthers hockey and we look forward to continuing to build on our mutually beneficial partnership."
A 60-minute "Panthers Insider" program hosted by Moller will be broadcast on WQAM on Saturday mornings, and the station will also host remote broadcasts at BB & T Center and Panthers community outreach events throughout the season. The Panthers will also receive radio promotion and be featured on CBS Radio's WKIS-FM and WPOW-FM in Miami.
"The Panthers have been an exciting addition to our lineup and we're thrilled to continue our broadcast agreement," commented CBS Radio Miami Senior VP/Market Manager Steve Carver. "We look forward to expanding the partnership to include coverage across our entire portfolio of stations that reach a large cross-section of the Miami audience."
