Johnson Named KINK/Portland APD/Morning Co-Host

Alpha Media names Cort Johnson as Assistant Program Director and morning co-host on AAA KINK-FM/Portland, OR. He'll join Sheila Hamilton weekday mornings from 5:30-10am. Originally from Utah, Johnson started his radio career at his high school radio station. After attending Brigham Young University, he went to work for Citadel's AAA KENZ-FM in similar duties as well as KBER-FM and KBEE-FM/Salt Lake City.
Executive VP/Programming Scott Mahalick commented, "Cort will be a great addition to the KINK family. He has an incomparable passion for the industry and his abilities on and off air will positively support and impact the direction in which the station is headed."
Senior VP/Market Manager Milt McConnell added, "I had the opportunity to work with Cort in Salt Lake and witnessed his ability to connect with the AAA audience there. He has proven to be one of the most dedicated talents and he is most deserving of this opportunity."

Johnson has also worked as a fill-in feature reporter on the local FOX and CBS affiliate television stations in Salt Lake City. After moving to Portland, Johnson worked at KBFF and News/Talk KXL-FM as a reporter/anchor.
