Cumulus to Utilize Futuri Media Across Company
RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, February 3, 2016 |
Futuri Media inks an agreement with Cumulus Radio to provide the radio giant with four major platforms: Listener Driven Radio (LDR1), Takeover, TopicPulse social media monitoring and TopLine sales research. The deal includes immediate implementation of Futuri technology across 27 of Cumulus' largest markets with additional markets and stations to follow.
Cumulus will utilize Futuri Media's LDR1 and Takeover, which allow listeners to vote and control live radio programming or receive alerts when their favorite songs are about to play. Plus, the TopicPulse real-time social media measurement system for newsrooms and content producers. And the newly released TopLine system, a research app for broadcast sales teams.
Cumulus Media Senior VP/Content & Programming Mike McVay said, "We've always respected the value Futuri can bring to broadcasters, and have watched the company continuously innovate and improve its services. Futuri has proved to us that they can customize their capabilities to our individual stations' ratings and revenue objectives. We're a particularly big believer in Futuri's TopicPulse social media tool, which will help us maximize our audience engagement potential in our largest and most competitive markets."
"We are honored and excited to have the opportunity to work with the leadership team at Cumulus Radio," added Futuri Media CEO Daniel Anstandig. "Cumulus owns numerous stations that are truly heritage brands in their communities, and we look forward to working with them to deploy new and meaningful ways to connect with their millions of listeners on digital platforms."
