Osgood Continues Radio Show After CBS Retirement

After nearly a half-century at CBS News, Charles Osgood has announced that he's retiring from his "Sunday Morning" TV program after a 22-year run. However, his syndicated Westwood One radio show, "The Osgood File," will continue, four times a day, five days a week, on a lineup News/Talk and Information stations nationwide.
Westwood One Executive VP/News and Talk Bart Tessler said, "We congratulate Charlie on his amazing career at CBS News and Sunday Morning and couldn't be more honored that he will continue The Osgood File on Westwood One. Now all his fans will continue to see him on the radio."
"Charlie is not just beloved by our viewers. He's beloved by all of us who work each week crafting the stories we put on the program," addetd Sunday Morning Executive Producer Rand Morrison. "Working with him truly has been an honor, a privilege and a joy. We look forward to paying tribute to him and his legendary career in September -- and, of course, seeing him on the radio."
