RADIO ONLINE | Wednesday, January 18, 2017 |
CBS Sports Radio, a 24/7 sports radio network, has launched a dedicated channel on Apple Music. In addition to airing on hundreds of local radio affiliates and online, sports listeners will now have access to CBS Sports Radio's brand of coverage and commentary via Apple Music, available on a variety of devices including iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV, Mac, PC, Android and Sonos.
"The appetite for compelling and hard-to-ignore sports analysis, commentary and fan debate continues to grow across all audio platforms," said CBS Radio Executive VP/Programming Chris Oliviero. "CBS Sports Radio delivers this to fans 24 hours a day, 7 days a week so it's an ideal next step to launch a channel on Apple Music, one of the most popular streaming services today, as yet another way we continue to meet the evolving desires of this passionate audience anywhere and everywhere."
CBS Radio launched CBS Sports Radio as a standalone service in January, 2013. The network's weekday lineup features Gio and Jones (Gregg Giannotti and Brian Jones) from 6-9am, Tiki and Tierney (Tiki Barber and Brandon Tierney) from 9am-Noon, The Jim Rome Show from Noon-3pm, The Doug Gottlieb Show from 3-6pm, The DA Show (Damon Amendolara) from 6-10pm, Ferrall on the Bench (Scott Ferrall) from 10pm-2am and After Hours with Amy Lawrence from 2-6am.
