WRNS' Mantel Headed to Country Radio Hall of Fame

Alpha Media, Greenville-New Bern-Jacksonville is proud to announce that WRNS Morning Host, Jim Mantel will be inducted into the Country Radio Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held at the Country Radio Seminar in Nashville, TN this June. Mantel's 35-year radio career started in West Texas at KNFM, KRYS, and KKBQ. He then spent over 18 years hosting the morning show at Cleveland's WGAR. He's a past winner of the CMA Personality of the Year award and is an inductee in the Ohio Radio and Television Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
"I'm incredibly honored and humbled. When you see names like Ralph Emery, Terry Dorsey and Gerry House. That anyone thinks that I am worthy of being in their company is mind boggling," said Mantel.
