Cumulus Media has appointed seasoned radio programming and operations professional Chip Arledge to Operations Manager for its five-station cluster in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA. Arledge will also serve as Program Director for KRMD-FM and KRMD-AM. He joins Cumulus from Eagle Radio Group/Results Radio Network in Marquette, MI, where he was Director of Commotion & Product Development.

Prior to that, he was Operations Manager/Program Director for WYSF and WZRR in Birmingham, AL, and has held Operations Manager/Program Director positions for stations in markets including Fayetteville, AR, and Chillicothe, OH. Arledge was also Regional Brand Manager/Adult Contemporary for Clear Channel Radio.

"Chip is the perfect addition to the Cumulus Shreveport team as our Operations Manager, and Program Director for the legendary calls of KRMD," said Cody Welling, VP/MM Cumulus Media-Shreveport/Bossier City. "He is a true radio man that cares about the medium, and has an excellent track record in programming and operations in markets both big and small. Chip's ability to lead and coach programmers from multiple formats, along with his passion for radio and our listeners, made this an easy decision for Cumulus Shreveport."

"After leaving the corporate world about a decade ago to join some of the friendliest people and black bears in the world in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, I'm thrilled to return to the Lower 48 and work with the talented folks at Cumulus," said Arledge. "To have custodial care of KRMD and the other great stations in the Shreveport cluster is an honor and responsibility I'm thrilled to accept. Let's go have fun."
