Judge Dimisses Muller's Suit Against Taylor Swift
RADIO ONLINE | Saturday, August 12, 2017 |
U.S. District Judge William Martinez dimissed former KYGO Denver air personality David Mueller's $3 million suit against Taylor Swift on Friday, stating that the claim that the singer herself played a role in getting him fired could not be proved. However, the assault and battery countersuit stemming from her allegation that she was groped by him was left intact. Friday's decision ended the fifth day of a trial that contained graphic testitmony from Swift herself.
Swift charged that Mueller clutched her bare buttocks during a pre-concert fan reception in 2013 against Mueller's assertion, under oath, that he did no such thing. Also on Friday, Swift's former bodyguard corroborated her account of being groped by Mueller. He testified that he saw the Mueller slip his hand under the singer's skirt as they posed for a photo.
Swift has maintained that her reps complained to KYGO management about the alleged groping but insisted she never demanded that Mueller be fired.
