RADIO ONLINE | Tuesday, September 26, 2017 |
The Philadelphia 76ers renew a multi-year partnership with Beasley Media Group's WPEN-FM (97.5 The Fanatic) Philadelphia to serve as the team's flagship station. The Sports outlet will continue to broadcast 76ers games as well as remain the official home of 76ers pre-game, halftime and post-game shows. Broadcaster Tom McGinnis will return for his 23rd season and continue his duties as the radio voice of the team.
The partnership between the 76ers and The Fanatic will also feature more 76ers programming, content and promotions than previous years. The Fanatic will air its radio show, "Sixers in :60, presented by Toyota" hosted by Devon Givens and Brian Seltzer, ten times this season. The show will feature guest appearances from 76ers players, coaches and executives that will give fans a unique, inside look at the team.
"97.5 The Fanatic has been a tremendous partner and we're excited to have them as the flagship station of the 76ers for years to come," said Philadelphia 76ers President Chris Heck. "As our team continues to grow and progress, we're thrilled that our fans can hear all of the action on 97.5 with legendary 76ers radio voice Tom McGinnis. We're also looking forward to hearing more 76ers content than ever before across the 97.5 platforms as the city of Philadelphia rallies around our dynamic, young team."
"We are proud to announce a multi-year extension of our partnership with the Philadelphia 76ers," added VP/Market Manager Joe Bell. "They are a world-class organization with some of the best young talent in the NBA. As the Flagship Radio Station since 2012, we'll be on the edge of our seats with all the 76ers fans to see what's next."
