Form NFL Lineman Orlando Franklin Joins KKFN/Denver
RADIO ONLINE | Friday, August 3, 2018 |
KKFN-FM (Sports Radio 104.3 The Fan)/Denver signs former NFL lineman Orlando Franklin to offer insight and perspective every Sunday morning at 8am, effective immediately. A seven-year NFL veteran, Franklin retired in May citing personal reasons. He was originally drafted in the second round by the Denver Broncos in 2011. While spending the majority of his career on Denver's roster, he also spent time with the San Diego Chargers, New Orleans Saints, and Washington Redskins.
"I've known that this is what I've wanted to do after football for years," said Franklin. "In 2012, I started calling into Sandy Clough's show weekly on The Fan. I loved the interaction that the sports radio platform provided. It's an honor to now be on the same team as a lot of these guys that I've listened to my whole career."
"We're really excited to have Orlando as part of our championship team at 104.3 The Fan," said 104.3 The Fan PD Armen Williams. "He called me a few weeks after he retired, and I went to dinner with him and his wife, Kiaana. It was clear right away that he had this sincere passion to be on The Fan. It's great to have Orlando as part of our game day on-air presentation."
