Berry Broadcasting to Acquire KXEN-AM & WGNU-AM/St. Louis

Berry Broadcasting LLC has agreed to acquire 50kW KXEN-AM (1010) 450W WGNU-AM (920) and their 3 associated FM translators in St. Louis. The deal was filed Monday with the FCC for a purchase price of $650,000. Berry Broadcasting is owned by Paul Berry III, the nephew of rock & roll legend & St. Louis native Chuck Berry. The seller is St. Louis-based broadcaster Burt Kaufman. Kaufman was the long-time owner of these stations, owning KXEN since 1986 and WGNU since 2007.
Kozacko Media Services brokered the transaction.
