First Media Services Closes on Buy of Albany GA Cluster

First Media Services LLC has closed its purchase of Cumulus Media's cluster of stations in Albany, GA. The group includes WQVE-FM, WKAK-FM, WALG-AM and translator W257ED, all licensed to Albany, GA, as well as WJAD-FM/Leesburg, GA, and WEGC-FM/Sasser, GA.

First Media Services, headed by Rick Lambert and Bob Spencer, also owns a group of six stations in Bluefield, WV which they acquired from Alpha Media in 2018. Cumulus Media exits the Albany market with this sale.

Eddie Esserman of the St. Simons Island, GA office of Media Services Group served as the broker for this transaction, representing the seller. Mark Jorgensen of Jorgensen Broadcast Brokerage represented the buyer.
