The program, part of the company's social impact platform, offers a multi-channel platform to elevate and celebrate those organizations within the Sacramento community who strive to better the lives of its residents.

As part of the program, Audacy Sacramento is inviting groups whose missions align with that of Audacy Serves to share their story through on-air public service announcements as well as a long format public affairs show, which will air on all six Audacy Sacramento radio stations.

"The Public File," which will air Sundays from 7-8am PT, will seek to inform listeners on local happenings and events through 20-30 minutes interviews with local charitable organizations who are committed to helping create a better community in and around the greater Sacramento area. Audacy will provide DEI-related partners with interview opportunities on the show as well as on-air promotion that will air the week leading up the interview.

"Audacy is committed to creating and promoting a more diverse, equitable and inclusive workforce to drive change in our industry, both in our local community and nationally at scale," said Audacy Sacramento Senior Vice President and Market Manager Stacey Kauffman. "In and around the Sacramento community, we seek to use our resources to amplify the voices that support diversity, social justice, equity, human rights and anti-racism, and this program deepens our commitment to this work."

In addition, a mentoring program is underway to showcase the variety of careers available in the audio and digital space. Audacy Sacramento is currently working on a mentorship youth project with the Sacramento City Unified School District that will help students eventually lead and facilitate an annual youth media conference. The goal of this mentorship program is to offer guidance to students as they explore careers in media while promoting diversity within the local cluster and the media industry at large by mentoring youth and developing aspiring media leaders.

"We encourage the organizations and individuals we will work with to explore the many vocations that the term 'audio' and ‘radio' encompasses," added Kauffman. "From engineering, promotions, accounting, sales and community affairs to social media, creative, production, marketing and more, there are numerous careers within the industry."
