Podtrac podcast data for the week of May 17-23 shows downloads were up 1% over the previous week and up 3% over the corresponding period last year for Podtrac measured shows. The True Crime category showed the strongest growth week-over-week gaining 18%. The Education category showed the weakest growth week-over-week dropping 4% from the prior week.

Download growth for the 52-week period from May 18, 2020 to May 23, 2021 was up 3% across all Podtrac measured podcasts. Week-over-week download growth for the week of May 17-23, 2021 grew 1% across all Podtrac measured podcasts.
