Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio (MIW) and Luminate (formerly P-MRC Data) have announced "Elevating Women in Audio: MIW & Luminate Mentorship." Luminate is widely known in the music industry for their continued work with Billboard to power the outlet's global charts. This represents MIW and Luminate's fifth consecutive year collaborating on this mentorship opportunity designed specifically for women in music programming.

The "Elevating Women in Audio: MIW & Luminate Mentorship" program is a year-long experience that provides greater opportunities for women interested in management positions in audio, and involves personalized conversations with the best programming minds in the business to help advance a career within the radio/audio industry. In addition, the program affords the mentee the chance to attend Radio Show 2023 this April in Las Vegas, the premier event for the audio community.

The mentorship is available to one female Brand Manager, Content/Program Director, assistant Program Director, and/or Music Director from any U.S. based music format. Applications are open now and are being accepted through February 2.

MIW Board President Ruth Presslaff said, "We are extremely grateful for Luminate's support in this crucial and under-represented area of the industry. Women make up the most listeners but the fewest content providers. This mentorship is one strong step in addressing that challenge."

Luminate SVP, Head of People and Workplace Experience Christine Cenicola remarked, "As a data company that aims to address the expansive needs of all members of the entertainment industry, both internally at Luminate and externally across our partners and clients, we are pleased to partner with MIW once again for this invaluable mentorship program to help achieve equal gender representation in the broadcast industry."

"The continued work we do with MIW is an essential component of Luminate's values of enhancing representation within the radio business. And as a female with a long career that has seen all facets of the industry, I can't overstate how important initiatives like these are to women in their careers," added Luminate Head of Independents Haley Jones. "We are also excited to be doing so this year especially, as it is our first year offering our clients best-in-class airplay data from our new partner Mediabase."

Past mentees include: Leslie Scott, Vice President of Digital Audio Content, Audacy Inc.; Grisel Barajas, a rising programming star who passed unexpectedly in 2020; ICE, Amanda Habrowski, Assistant Program Director/Middays Host, iHeart Las Vegas, and most recently Traci LaTrelle, WHUR-FM Music Director and Assistant Programming Director.
