Northwestern Media to Acquire Spirit FM in Camdenton MO

Northwestern Media has filed an Asset Purchase Agreement with the FCC for the purchase of 23 signals and 6 construction permits from Lake Area Educational Broadcasting, including KCVO (Spirit FM) in Camdenton, MO. Northwestern Media is the broadcast ministry of University of Northwestern - St. Paul. In addition to these new stations, it operates 81 signals across 11 states, reaching more than 1.4 million listeners each week.
Northwestern President Dr. Corbin Hoornbeek said, "The acquisition of Spirit FM expands our ministry and reach across the state of Missouri. This represents an exciting and strategic opportunity to continue reaching the hearts and minds of listeners and leaders, while shaping and influencing culture through media for years to come."
"I am excited that we are able to work with Northwestern Media to ensure Spirit FM will continue to connect listeners to God and each other," added Lake Area Educational Broadcasting President Jim McDermott. "I'm confident that the legacy of Spirit FM-KCVO will live on."
