WOOK Radio DC to Acquire KBSZ in Phoenix for $850,000

WOOK Radio DC Inc. has agreed to acquire 4.5kw KBSZ-AM (1260) in Apache Junction, AZ and 250w K247CF (97.3) serving Phoenix from ITV.com Inc. for $850,000. KBSZ covers 2.5 million population count in the 60dbu and 4.8 million for in car-listening in the 0.5mv contour. The station is currently airing a Classic Rock format. The basic format will remain the same, with a number of improvements and modifications, according to the new owner, William Tucker Jr.

Tucker, the sole owner, is a long-time east coast based broadcaster who will be relocating to Phoenix to run the station. ITV.com Inc., is headed by sole owner John Low.

George Kimble of Kozacko Media Services was the exclusive broker.
