NRG Media Sells Four Stations in Illinois to Shaw Media

NRG Media has agreed to sell four stations in Illinois to Shaw Local Radio Co. Included in the deal are 1kW WIXN-AM (1460), 6kW WRCV-FM (101.7) and 0.25kW W236DM (95.1) in Dixon, IL and 3.2kW WSEY-FM (95.7) in Oregon, IL. Shaw Media, is an Illinois-based company headed by John Rung. It also owns stations in Streator, Oglesby, Peru, Mendota and Spring Valley, IL. NRG Media also owns stations in Nebraska, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Kalil & Co. Inc. is brokered the transaction.
