Norsan Media, a radio broadcaster focused on Latino audiences in the Southeast, is expanding its footprint with the acquisition of three stations from JVC Broadcasting in Orlando, FL. The $6 million deal includes Conservative Talk 103.1 WFYY (Florida Man Radio) in Windermere, Sports WDYZ (ESPN 660) in Altamonte Springs and 105.5 W288CJ in Oviedo, covering areas north of Orlando including Sanford and Lake Mary.

This purchase marks Norsan Media's entrance into its ninth market and is a significant step in connecting with the growing Hispanic community in Orlando. According to Norsan CEO Natalia Sanchez Alvarez, the transition to Spanish language formats is intended to foster stronger ties and provide dynamic content to the area's Latino residents. The stations were previously purchased by JVC for a combined $10.7 million, highlighting the value Norsan sees in this acquisition.

A Time Brokerage Agreement will also commence on June 17, with Norsan assuming all operational costs of the stations, including a monthly studio lease of $14,417.56. During the first three months, these costs will be shared equally with JVC.

Founded in 2004 by Norberto Sanchez, Norsan Media owns over 40 radio stations, four television stations, and several regional print and digital publications. The parent company, NORSAN, established in 1987, also operates 18 restaurants.

JVC Broadcasting will retain its media presence in Long Island, New York and in Gainesville-Ocala, FL focusing on those markets following the sale.
