Educational Media Foundation (EMF), known for its Christian radio networks K-LOVE and Air1, has announced an expansion in its ministry's reach with the acquisition of Radio Nueva Vida, a Spanish Christian radio network. This development comes as EMF enters into an agreement with The Association for Community Education Inc., which currently oversees Radio Nueva Vida. Terms were not disclosed.

This acquisition, pending approval from the FCC, is set to broaden EMF's influence within the Spanish-speaking communities across the U.S., amplifying its portfolio of Christian programming.

EMF interim CEO Tom Stultz emphasized the strategic importance of this agreement. "For over four decades, EMF has utilized media to propagate the Gospel. By aligning with Phil and Mary Guthrie and the Radio Nueva Vida team, we are poised to innovate and connect with new audiences, ensuring our mission's continued success in new and dynamic ways," he stated.

Radio Nueva Vida President Phil Guthrie echoed this enthusiasm. "Our partnership with EMF since 2010 has been instrumental in reaching the expanding Spanish-speaking population in the U.S. By formalizing this relationship, we are reinforcing our commitment to serve and expand our outreach, confident that together we will achieve greater impacts."

Post-FCC approval, EMF will become the sole member and parent company of The Association, with Radio Nueva Vida's team continuing as part of the EMF subsidiary. This move marks nearly 15 years of collaborative efforts between the two entities.

In 2024, EMF launched Musica de Adoracion!, a Spanish worship stream powered by its Air1 network, which has already accumulated 300,000 hours of stream time, reflecting EMF's ongoing commitment to serving the Hispanic audience through targeted and culturally resonant programming.
