International podcast company PodX Group has announced plans to acquire a majority stake in Lemonada Media, an independent podcast network in the U.S. The move represents PodX's first major step into the U.S. market and unites two influential forces in the global podcasting industry.

Once completed, the acquisition will position Lemonada Media within PodX's growing international portfolio, which includes studios across Europe and Latin America, such as Nouvelles Ecoutes and Studio Minuit in France, Posta in Argentina, and Filt in Sweden.

"This is a landmark transaction, once completed, and will take both PodX and Lemonada into an even greater trajectory," said PodX Group CEO Patrick Svensk. "Lemonada has built an extraordinary podcast network with talent and stories that resonate deeply with listeners. By joining forces, we see tremendous opportunities to amplify these stories on a global scale and continue innovating in the podcasting space."

Founded in 2019 by Jessica Cordova Kramer and Stephanie Wittels Wachs, Lemonada Media has emerged as a powerful voice in the podcast landscape, producing hit shows such as Wiser Than Me with Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Fail Better with David Duchovny, and Confessions of a Female Founder with Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. The company has launched more than 50 original podcasts and supports nearly 40 partner shows.

"What began as a way for us to channel our own grief into something meaningful has grown into one of the biggest podcast networks in the U.S.," said Lemonada CEO Jessica Cordova Kramer and Chief Creative Officer Stephanie Wittels Wachs in a joint statement. "Joining the PodX network would mark an exciting new chapter in Lemonada's story... and allow us to work alongside best-in-class peer companies worldwide."

Under the agreement, Lemonada will continue to operate independently under its current leadership and brand while benefiting from PodX's international resources and strategic support.
