Civic Media, Inc. has reached an agreement to acquire 16 radio signals in Iowa and Illinois from Pritchard Broadcasting Corp., Titan Broadcasting, LLC and Galesburg Broadcasting Company. An application seeking approval of the transaction will be filed with the FCC. Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The acquisition would expand the Wisconsin-based broadcaster's presence into two additional states, adding to its existing radio operations in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan. Civic Media focuses on local and regional news, talk programming and community engagement.

The Iowa portion of the transaction includes KGRS-FM (107.3), KBKB-FM (101.7), KBKB-AM (1360), KBUR-AM (1490), KKMI-FM (93.5), KDMG-FM (103.1) and KHDK-FM (97.3). The deal also includes FM translators K283CK (104.5) and K257GC (99.3).

In Illinois, Civic Media will acquire WQKQ-FM (92.1), WAAG-FM (94.9), WLSR-FM (92.7), WGIL-AM (1400), WKAY-FM (105.3) and WZIE-FM (106.1), along with FM translator W229BO (93.7).

The stations have operated under ownership groups with longstanding ties to local broadcasting in the Midwest, providing news, sports and community-oriented programming to their respective markets.

Among the larger facilities included in the agreement are KGRS-FM, operating with 100 kW, and KBKB-FM and WAAG-FM, each operating with 50 kW. The transaction also includes several smaller-market FM and AM stations and their associated translators.

Kalil & Co. is serving as the exclusive broker for the transaction.
