Longtime Memphis radio personality Drake Hall of WXMX 98.1's "Drake in the Morning", disappeared from airwaves this week. On Wednesday, Hall hinted on Facebook at possible changes writing: "As many of you have noticed, I'm not on the radio at the moment." The public post referenced "future plans" he was looking forward to. Neither Hall or Cumulus Media have issued any official comments.
For more many years, Hall was one half of the wildly popular duo "Drake and Zeke in the Morning". David Millar, aka Zeke Logan, passed away in 2015 after being diagnosed with cancer. The pair hosted some form of their morning show on multiple stations and often voted favorites in local publications.
In his Facebook post on Wednesday, Hall thanked Millar among others, and closed with: "My main goal for now is not getting up at 3 a.m. Wishing you good health and peace until we meet again."
