Midwest Communications WIMZ/Knoxville adds the "The George McFly Show," beginning April 5, weekday afternoons from 2-6pm. He relocates to Knoxville from Albuquerque, where most recently McFly served as the afternoon host for Classic Hits KABG (Big 98.5). He's also worked in markets like New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.
WIMZ Brand Manager Randy Chambers said, "We are enthusiastic to have a personality the caliber of George McFly become a member of our winning team at WIMZ. He's creative, engaging, and our listeners will love him."
"I've finally found a permanent home in the greatest city in the USA," added McFly.
The afternoon show was open due to the tragic loss several months ago of market veteran and Tennessee Broadcast Association Hall of Famer Billy Kidd.
