iHeartMedia Honolulu raps Gregg Hammer to rejoin KDNN (Island 98.5)'s morning show, effective October 31. Hammer first appeared on the "Wake Up Crew" in the early 1990's when morning program aired on the former Rhythmic CHR KIKI-FM (Hot I-94), now KUBT-FM (93.9 The Beat). He was on the show for more than 20 years including when it moved to Hawaiian Reggae KDNN-FM (Island 98.5) in 2009. He rejoins Wake Up Crew originator Rory Wild and Auntie Brandi who joined the show in 2020.

"I'm excited to be coming back to iHeartMedia and the Island 98.5 Wake Up Crew," said Hammer. "I'm looking forward to being a part of such an awesome team. You complete me."

"We're so excited to have Hawaii's funniest person back on Hawaii's funniest morning radio show" added iHeartMedia in Honolulu Senior Vice President of Programming Jamie Hyatt. "After these past two years, we're all in need of laughs in the morning and here comes Rory Wild and Gregg Hammer getting back together to save the world, one laugh at a time."

"It has been a dream of mine to get Rory Wild and Greg Hammer, the original 'Wake-Up Crew' back together again," said Island 98.5 Program Director Big Koa. "Get ready for the next best thing to hit the air waves since music... Cheehooo!"
