"Wes & Walker" join Radio One's WFNZ (Sports Radio 92.7) in Charlotte for 12-3pm weekdays beginning November 14. "Wes & Walker" is the combination of Charlotteans Wes Bryant and Walker Mehl. Bryant comes to WFNZ with an extensive media background in the world of sports serving a host, producer, editor and voiceover artist for the ACC Digital Network in Charlotte. Walker started his broadcasting career in Charlotte, one year after graduating from UNC Charlotte in 2015 where he played basketball for the 49ers. In 2018 he began hosting the "Locked On Hornets" podcast. Prior to becoming a full-time host, he worked with WFNZ as a guest host.

WFNZ Program Director Jeff Rickard stated, "I'm excited to hear from two talented young men who are not only entertaining and engaging, but true native sons of the Queen City. I'm looking forward to hearing their hometown takes on all things Charlotte sports. I can't wait for our listeners to learn more about them and enjoy the upcoming ride."

"Wes & Walker" isn't the only move coming from WFNZ. A newly tweaked lineup starts with local favorites Mac & Bone in the mornings (6-10am). Program Director and sports host Jeff Rickard will take the reins from 10am-12pm with "Charlotte Sports Today" followed by "Wes & Walker." Kyle Bailey will take listeners home from 3-6pm.
