Dan Dakich Exits Afternoons on WFNI (The Fan)/Indianapolis

Former IU player and coach-turned radio host Dan Dakich is leaving his afternoon sports/talk show on Radio One's Sports WFNI (The Fan) in Indianapolis after 14 years. He joined WFNI in 2008 for middays replacing ESPN Radio's Colin Cowherd. His departure was announced in a social media post and a memo from Radio One.

"Today was Dan Dakich's last day with Radio One," said Operations Manager David Wood in a memo. "We wish him well in their future endeavors."

In a statement, Dakich thanked executives at Radio One and Emmis Communications "for a great 14 years."
