WESA-FM/Pittsburgh Brings New Shows to Weekend Lineup

NPR WESA (90.5)/Pittsburgh has announced a new weekend line-up that adds five shows, beginning on Sunday, January 8. New programs include "The People's Pharmacy," featuring health topics (Sundays, 7am), Freakonomics Radio, featuring stories from an economics perspective (Sundays, 2pm), Notes from America with Kai Wright, a live national discussion and call-in show (Sundays, 6pm) and Climate One, an environmental program (Sundays, 8pm).

Returning to the schedule is Fresh Air Weekend, which highlights some of the best interviews and reviews from past weeks of Fresh Air, emphasizing interviews with writers, filmmakers, actors, and musicians (Sundays, 3pm). Several other shows in the WESA weekend lineup will air at new times.

"Based on listener feedback, we are offering a wider selection of different programs on our weekend schedule," said ittsburgh Community Broadcasting Corporation Vice President of Broadcasting Mike Sauter.
